FROSTBURG, Md. — The Potomac Highlands Distance Club is proud to announce the inaugural Run with Rover 5-mile run/walk and Ducky’s Dash 1-miler, a charity event to benefit two local pet advocacy organizations, on the evening of Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, in Frostburg.

Both distances will be out-and-back options on the Great Allegheny Passage, a rail trail with hard packed dirt and crushed limestone surface.

Complete race rules and entry information will soon be posted on the event web page. Proceeds will be shared between QCAR at Windy Pines Rescue and the Allegany County Animal Shelter Foundation’s new building fund.

Humans (with or without doggy companions) are encouraged to participate. Here’s to a fun way to get your pup some exercise!
