HobosSTRINGTOWN, Pa., Feb. 16, 2013 — The Potomac Highlands Distance Club is proud to bring back, after a two-year haitus, the Hobo’s Heartbreaker 10K run in Londonderry Township.

The 6.2-mile run is a horseshoe-shaped out-and-back run on country roads with a couple of hills and great views. The event begins at Cooks Mills United Methodist Church, located on Cooks Mill Road in southern Bedford County, Pa., just north of the Maryland line and Ellerslie.

Thanks to support from Heavenly Prints Digital Media and Hobo’s Restaurant, the event now will award 9.5-inch ceramic goblets to the overall male and female winners, plus: coffee mugs to the top male and female masters (40-plus) and grand masters (50-plus). No duplication of awards.

Entry for not-yet-members is only $5. There also is a free half-mile kids run after the 10K.

The Hobo’s Heartbreaker is one of the PHDC’s signature low-key events, which means club members can race for free.
