Thanks to all who supported today’s 4th annual Bash Dash mile run in Hancock, Md. The support from the town, police department (and supporting agencies) and individual volunteers mean a lot to keep this little race going.

Bash Dash set for third year downhill mile

HANCOCK, Md., June 29, 2013 — Join the Potomac Highlands Distance Club and the town of Hancock for the fourth annual Bash Dash, a 1-mile downhill run/walk from the high school along Main Street down to Joseph Hancock Jr. Park.

The event is set for Saturday, June 29. You can register on event day at Hancock High School beginning at 8 a.m. Race starts on MD 144 in front of the high school promptly at 9 a.m. Race entry fee is $5 per person.

Hat tip to the Hancock Police Department for its officers’ assistance with this event.

The Bash Dash is staged in conjunction with the annual Barge Bash, which features festive, fun and colorfully decorated non-motorized floats presented along the re-watered section of the C&O Canal towpath. The Barge Bash is jointly sponsored by the town of Hancock and the National Park Service.
