Trip-and-Tumble Trail Run and Hike in May

GREEN RIDGE STATE FOREST, Md., May 12, 2013 — Join the Potomac Highlands Distance Club and friends for the area’s newest trail run and hike on Mother’s Day 2013, Sunday, May 12, for the Trip and Tumble Trail Run and Hike in Green Ridge State Forest.

This is a traditional low-key club race – no crazy/fancy prizes. However, there will be special recognition for the following teams: top mother-daughter, top mother-son, top father-daugther, top father-son. Try and enter as a team (that is, send both entry forms in together) if registering as a team. Overall male and female winners for each distance, as well as top masters (40-plus) and top grand masters (50-plus) for each gender also will be recognized.

Entry fees: $8 for the 10K run/hike and $12 for the 13 (ish) mile run between now and including on race day or only $5 (either distance) for PHDC dues-paid members. As a low-key PHDC run, you are strongly encouraged to carry with you all the supplies/goodies you think you might need to safely complete the journey. We will have two water-only stations set up, however: One at the 10K turnaround and one later in the longer course.
