Team RWB Western Maryland

Team_RWB_logo_webLAVALE, MD — The Potomac Highlands Distance Club is proud to form a partnership with Team RWB Western Maryland. Many of the teal-and-white club’s events will add a flavor of American Red, White and Blue in 2013 and beyond - c’mon out and join us whether you’re a veteran, spouse or family member or simply a “friend of veterans.” We’re all in this together!

In 2013, the plan is to have a slate of volunteer officers — a Chapter Captain, a Veteran Outreach Director, a Community Outreach Director, an Athletic Director and a Social Director. The goal is to have weekly fitness group events and monthly social events. One of these positions could be just for you!

How can you get involved? Easy - just be yourself and join us at one of our events. Are you a veteran? No? Great either way! Sign up to be a Team RWB member (it’s free!) online here.

Team RWB Western Maryland will have an expanded calendar of events in 2014, but for right now you can go ahead and pencil in the following events — some are Team RWB-activity based and others are simply to help “support the mission.”

Spread the word! Share this link far and wide. See you ’round!

‎”I have this quote on my fridge and I read it every day since I was shot in the head in Iraq in 2007: ‘When you get to the end of all the light you know and it’s time to step into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing that one of two things shall happen: either you will be given something solid to stand on, or you will be taught how to fly.’ I am thankful for Team Red, White & Blue because they have taught me how to fly.”
