Runners conquer heat, trails in Race for the Birds!

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va., April 21, 2012 — Preliminary results for the longest two of four distances staged on Saturday at the National Conservation Training Center in Shepherdstown have been posted — and more than 1,000 race-day photos are coming as well.

Martha Nelson, nursing a minor injury, won the 4+ cross country run outright while her boyfriend, Aaron Schwartzbard, finished right behind her.

In the 7+ run, Sean Andrish and Brenda Schrank earned individual titles.
