OAKLAND, May 3 -- Tryouts for the Southern Garrett High School Varsity and Junior Varsity Cheerleading Squads will be conducted at the school’s auxiliary gym on Monday, May 23 through Thursday, May 27.
Training sessions will begin at 3:45 p.m. and will run until approximately 5:30 p.m.
This is open to any student who will be enrolled at Southern High School next fall. All persons must have an athletic physical completed before being allowed to participate. Individuals who received a physical exam this past year in order to participate in an extra-curricular activity such as band, football, soccer, etc., will not be required to have an additional one completed at this time.
Applications are available in the main offices at Southern High or Southern Middle School. These should be completed and submitted before the tryout information meeting that will be held at Southern High School on Thursday, May 19 at 7 p.m.
