No rest for the weary as No. 2 Allegany crushes No. 3 Frankfort, 53-35
* Campers move to 11-2 overall, 7-1 in AMAC
By The Potomac Highlands Dispatch
CUMBERLAND, Jan. 19 -- Visiting Frankfort made just 25 percent of its shots from the floor as the No. 3 Falcons were crushed by No. 2 Allegany, 53-35, on Wednsday in an Appalachian Mountain Athletic League contest.

It's the sixth straight win for the second-ranked Campers, who are bound to move up to the top spot barring a slip up the rest of the week. Allegany hosts No. 6 Keyser on Friday.

One night after tallying a triple double - 41 points, 16 rebounds and 10 blocks against top-ranked Northern Garrett, which beat Allegany 52-47 earlier this season - center Leah Wormack scored a game-high 18 points. She added six boards in the game while point guard Brooke Wharton added 13 points.

Frankfort (7-5) was led by Savannah Hose with 13 points. The Falcons - who committed 17 turnovers - play at home Friday against Potomac Valley Conference rival Berkeley Springs, which beat the Frankfort by seven points the week before Christmas.
