It was wonderful to meet everyone, Patrick, and the club was appreciative of your family’s efforts to get there from so far away. As for building up to the 50K – that’s be fantastic, but I also think you and Jen would make a smashing 1-2 punch on the 2-person 50K relay!

Regular training runs for Fire on the Mountain will begin in late August, and go every 2-3 weeks until early October (6-7 training runs in all, probably). They’re free, except for your time and gas $$ to get here). Keep an eye on http://www.PhDispatch.com, as the training schedule will be announced in late July.

Thanks to Kevin and volunteers for organizing/holding the race as scheduled; had a wonderful Mother’s Day and first real trail race. Hope to work up to Fire on the Mountain so we can see more of Green Ridge.

FYI – we’ve updated the spelling of your last name in the article (7:21 p.m., Saturday) and on the next results update, your last name will be spelled correctly on both the overall and age division standings as well.

Kevin, thank you for all your hard work to organize the red bud run. We enjoy running the course,even the hills….
Kevin, since I missed qualifying for the state meet in Charleston in 1962 by one position, it now feels great to be state champ. Thanks much for giving me the opportunity to redeem myself after 50 years.
We both hope that you can keep this great annual event going, and we will talk it up around here next year as much as we can.
